Dubai, UAE, 2014. A Russian woman was arrested by the Dubai Police on Saturday for allegedly stabbing her lover to death in his flat in Al Qusais area in Dubai after she suspected him of infidelity.
The police rushed to the victim’s ninth floor apartment after being notified about the murder. On entering the flat, they found blood stains on the floor, which led to the Arab victim’s body, who had two stab wounds on the neck and one on the chest. The knife used in committing the murder was found near his body.
The 32-year-old Russian woman, who was drunk, allegedly confessed to committing the murder following a drunken altercation. She called her friend after carrying out the murder, she told the police.
Her friend told the police that the suspect had been in a relationship with the victim for over a year and suspected that he had affairs with other women.
The Dubai Police’s forensic experts collected evidence from the site. The victim’s body has been sent to the General Department of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
The suspect was referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution on charges of murder.
