Saint Petersburg, Russia, 2016. On the night of May 18th a group of local activists led by ex-MMA heavyweight fighter Viacheslav Datsik (36) broke in one of the city brothels located in Vasileostrovsky district. They came in with video cameras to film what was going on inside in order to expose the illegal activity with which, as they state, they are fed up.
There were 11 persons in the brothel at the moment of their invasion. A Finnish national (54) was caught right in action with an African woman. The woman was mocked and treated harshly by the activists who accused her of spreading HIV and STDs. The Finnish citizen couldn`t understand what was going on - he tried to put on the clothes but was taken down and dragged into a bigger room where the rest of the women were told to relocate too.
After searching the scene, the activists decided to make the prostitutes and clients parade naked through the streets of Saint Petersburg: they ordered them to strip down and kicked them out to the street. The activists escorted the group to the nearest police station where they were handed over to the stunned agents. The investigation was launched into this case.
Viacheslav Datsik is a former heavyweight professional MMA fighter who is famous for his win in a bout against ex-UFC heavyweight champion Andrey Arlovski back in 1999. Datsik has professional record of 6 wins and 11 losses. His last fight took place in 2006. After the end of his MMA career he got into troubles and even served a jail term. Datsik was released from the jail only several months ago and after that he said that he would campaign for human rights and moral principles. It hasn`t been the first action of this nature - Datsik and his mates do this on a regular basis. He told that he had been offered money to stop but he refused the offer. Datsik started his own youtube channel where he uploads the videos from busted brothels.
